WILLIAM WINSTEAD - performer, educator, and composer - was a participant                        
           for seven years at the Marlboro Music Festival, where he served as principal                        
           bassoonist under Pablo Casals and made munerous recordings representing the                        
           Festival. He performed at Spoleto Italy's Festival of Two Worlds and at the Aspen                        
           Music Festival as well, and now appears regularly at the Sarasota Music Festival                        
           in addition to having returned, after twenty years absence, to the Marlboro Festival.                        
         Former president of the International Double Reed Society and member of the National Endowment for the                        
         Arrts Advisory Panels, Winstead taught at West Virginia University, Florida State University, and the Oberlin                        
         Conservatory of Music prior to accepting a post at the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music in addition to                        
         to his duties as Principal Bassoonist of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. Winstead's compositions have been                        
         premiered by the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Pittsburgh Symphony, and he has been the recipient of several                        
         grants and awards.
